Therapy for Couples
In working with couples, I utilize the research-based Gottman-Method couples counselling. This form of therapy emphasizes a thorough assessment phase to precisely target areas for change as well as better understand the strengths of your relationship. The goals are to increase closeness within the couple relationship through friendship behaviours, addressing conflict productively, and building a life of shared meaning together.
Individual Therapy
Difficult experiences, from our past or present, can trigger emotional responses that can be difficult to manage.
During individual therapy, we will identify the areas you prioritize as important to you. Together, we will unpack your experiences to help make sense of your emotions, responses and reactions, and how they impact you. From there, we can move forward in a supportive environment as you work towards improvements in your life.

I integrate various techniques in my practice such as "talk therapy", Solution-Focussed Therapy, and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Therapy through Separation and Divorce
Therapy is offered to help to help support children, teens, and adults, individually or together, through the separation and divorce process.

Various techniques can be offered such as talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family counselling.
Child and Youth Specific Therapy
Children and youth can develop similar emotional or mental health struggles as adults, although the signs may be difficult to identify. Alternatively, non-typical behaviours, responses or reactions may be observed as they attempt to cope with their struggles.

Therapeutic support is offered to help children and youth adjust to changes in their life, coping with difficult emotions relating to family, school, friends, relationships and/or past experiences.
